Here we are again. Anthropic is pushing my publishing schedule yet again.
Because yesterday, Claude Cowork dropped. And it’s cool. (My kids will not like me for saying cool here, but they don’t read my substack…yet.)
So I had to put it to the test: could Claude Cowork act as an HR analyst?
And of course, I had to do a video, you’ll find it below.
But, spoiling the full video, the answer is yes.
(It truly blows my expectations as well, as you will see if you watch the full thing.)
Quick background: I had this folder of dummy data for another people analytics project. Nine files, and a total mess with no structure whatsoever.
I basically just told Claude to make sense of it all and give me something I could show an exec team.
Took 15 minutes. (Took 13 and 2 seconds to be exact.)
Got a full PowerPoint with turnover analysis, pay equity flags, the whole thing.
(And I got more impressive stuff, but I do want you to watch the video so...)
Things are moving so, so, so fast right now, and it’s both amazing and a bit daunting in all honesty. But we need to keep up the pace, keep at it, find ways to get inspired, to test things, and maybe most importantly, try things.
You can’t sit on the sidelines.
Take help from someone if you feel insecure.
(And yes, I know I toot my own horn here, but for the love of all the silver in Scotland, ask SOMEONE for help at least.)

Fantastic stuff thanks for sharing. Would have loved to see the raw data to understand if what I got can be replicated. But it feels this new tool is what MS copilot should have been all along

Min ständiga frustration som jag hela tiden fastnar i, är den digitala mognaden inom en organisation, och det ofantliga glappet mellan medarbetare och chefer i mellan. Vissa organisationer brottas fortfarande med förståelsen för hur man bifogar en fil i ett mail vs. delar en länk och skillnaden där i mellan.
Jag menar inte att nedvärdera utan rapporterar bara hur verkligheten ser ut, och hur snabbt den digitala arbetsplatsen har förändrats senaste åren och den stora polarisering som skapats.
Att jag som medarbetare längre ned i organisationen kan se denna video och förstå hur detta förändrar vårt arbete IDAG, men där man är för långt ifrån beslutsfattarna och sätter de strategiska målen, gör att det skapas en viss uppgivenhet. Förstår du min tanke?
