Happy Wednesday,
A bit of an unusual article this week, because last week I sat down with Jason Averbook to talk about AI on the Now to Next: The Signal podcast.
What we talked about? The easiest way to find out is, of course, to listen to or watch the podcast Now to Next on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. But to give you an idea:
What's happened since the spring conferences, where we both attended Unleash in Vegas and HR Tech in Amsterdam. At the latter, we both spent time on the start-up competition, and the winner, Insygna, was building a system for managing agents inside an organization. I was a big fan of their product then, but as we talk about in the podcast, I never ever thought that we would be at a place a couple of months later where we have all these agents, just available.
Jason even says he has too many agents and might need to fire a few. I’m no better. Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, Dot, Hermes, OpenClaw, and around 40 sub-agents in Grok is maybe a tad too many… I'm not saying everyone has these agents right now, but a lot of us do, and what challenges come up when you bring them to work?
Personal agents stay personal for about two minutes, until you use them at work. Most organizations still won’t let you plug yours in. And when you leave, your agent has learned how the company works. Is that knowledge yours or theirs? We need answers soon, because the agents are already here.
I could go on and on, but I suggest listening to the podcast; I think it was a good conversation that not only cover agents but also covers what will happen to HR and how hard it is to predict the future.
Listen on Now to Next or Apple Podcasts.
